Northern Lights is a pure Indica, it has thick resin filled buds and fast flowering times of 8-10 weeks and is an incredibly durable strain to grow. It has Thai and Afghan landrace genes, and has been the parent to some of the cannabis industry’s most famous hybrids such as Shiva Skunk and Super Silver Haze. Northern Lights was apparently first grown in Seattle but was perfected and produced for the masses in Holland by Sensi Seeds in the late 80’s.
The strain will give off strong spicy aromas during flowering, as the buds become dense and covered in crystals you will see a slight purple hue. When smoked Northern Lights will give you a relaxed full body high that will help to relieve pain and induce sleep which makes it a popular strain for insomniacs.
