Making space cake at home ensures consistency and gives you complete control of the potency. So, how about you bring this Amsterdam delicacy to your home? Let’s begin

Space Cake Ingredients and equipment

You will require;

  • 8 grams of cannabis flower or hash of equal potency.
  • 1 ¾ cups of sifted flour
  • A cup of white sugar.
  • A cup of pure butter (unsalted)

Step-by-step how to make space cakes

space cake recipeStep 1: Set your oven to a temperature between 220 °F to 250° F and let it preheat for a few minutes. Grind the cannabis until you get a fine, smooth end product, and then place it on an oven-safe container (paperboard, aluminum, or glass). Put the container in the oven and leave it for 30-40 minutes. The heat activates cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, in a process known as decarboxylation. Once done, remove the cannabis from the oven and put it aside to cool.

Step 2: Preheat your oven to 375°F and go to the next step…

Step 3: The butter needs to be viscous to mix with the other ingredients easily. To change its consistency, place it in a microwave for 20 seconds.

Step 4: Mix the gloopy butter with the ground and decarboxylated cannabis

Step 5: Take the cannabutter made in step 4 and add the other ingredients. Put all of them in the mixing bowl, and mix well until you achieve an even consistency. If the paste is too dry, add some milk and if the viscosity is too low, add some flour.

Step 6: Take your baking tin and spray it with some non-stick agent or use non-stick lining paper. Evenly distribute your cake mixture in the can.

Step 7: Put the tin inside the oven and let it bake for a maximum of 25 minutes.

Step 8: After 25 minutes, take your skewer and pierce the center of the cake to determine if it’s ready. If it comes out clean, the process is complete. If you notice some batter stuck on the skewer, return the cake to the oven and give it 5 minutes.

Step 9: Remove the cake and wait for it to cool inside the baking tin for 20 minutes. Once it’s cool, select where you want to place your cake (tray or wire rack) and turn the tin upside down to empty the contents.

Step 10: Time to get creative. Decorate the space cake with anything you want. Enjoy!

And just like that, you now have a self-baked cannabis treat to enjoy with friends or family. Making a space cake is one of the easiest recipes out there. Even more, it gives one a chance to be creative and comes in a variety of flavors. It will take between 30 to 90 minutes for the effects to present, so be careful not to overconsume.
